Charity Car Show at Outlets at Silverthorne
In case you need to beat the heat this weekend, head up to the Outlets at Silverthorne which is hosting a car show on Sunday, July 7 from noon to 4 p.m. Plans call for food, entertainment and prizes. The FREE event will be in the parking lot across from the Outlet’s Blue Village on Wildernest Road. There is no entry fee but donations will be accepted. Why I Personally Returned a Lost Wallet
I know the pain and anguish of losing a wallet far too well…and more than once. That’s why, when I found a wallet at the movies this past Saturday night, I knew I had to get it back to its rightful owner safely and intact. (Looking for contact information, I noticed it was full of the usual contents — cash, credit cards, gift cards and other personal information. I knew Jennifer must be sick to her stomach at losing it.) Given it was a late night movie, by the time we headed out the door, the theater was closed — no one at the concession stand, box office or customer service counter. Free Soccer Camp This Week in Aurora
Soccer is truly the “world’s game.” Billions of people in virtually every country of the world play this popular sport for its simplicity, creativity and fun. Kids ages 5 to 10 can take part in a four-day FREE Socker Kicks camp Monday to Thursday, June 25 to 27 at Del Mark Park in Aurora. Kids will not only play games, but improve their fitness and grow their technical abilities.

This event is canceled for 2021. Head up the hill where it’s cool for the 18th annual High Peaks Art Festival, Saturday, June 29, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, June 30, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The art show is juried, admission is FREE and the music is live (but BYOC — bring your own chair). The little mountain town of Nederland west of Boulder puts on a surprisingly good little art show, which FestivalNet rates with 5 stars. Town Square, Nederland. RTD’s N bus travels between Boulder and the heart of little downtown Ned, and the wonderful Carousel of Happiness offers $1 rides.
